Enterprises: number of enterprises and employees by business sector of the enterprise

The dataset contains data relating to companies based in the Municipality of Milan, classified by Ateco 2007 code (2 and 5 digits). For each item of the 5-digit Ateco classification, the number of companies, the number of employees and independent workers and the total number of employees (sum of the two previous items), regardless of the location of the local units, are reported. NOTE 1: Employment figures are calculated as work units. In this regard, it should be remembered that the full-time work units (AWU) can refer to the work performed in the year by a full-time employee, or to the equivalent amount of work performed by part-time workers or by workers who carry out a double job. (e.g. two 50% part-time workers equal 1 work unit). The work unit is therefore not linked to the individual natural person, but conventionally refers to a standard full-time work quantity defined by national contracts. This explains the presence of values ​​with decimal places. NOTE 2: The data is updated to the last year available. Waiting for the final ISTAT data for the year 2012.
