Where certain conditions specified by the Saxon State Office for Environment and Geology (LfUG) are met, the Saxon lignite deposits are shown in their areal distribution without regard to restrictions: - Lignite areas are subdivided into: partial seam areas, lignite seams and lignite fields. Both the thickness and the degree of exploration (GDR standard) of the respective area can be determined from the attributes of the seam sections and lignite seams
