The Minimum Vital Outflow (DMV) is the instantaneous flow rate, to be determined in each homogeneous stretch of the watercourse, in order to guarantee ecological integrity for the protection of aquatic life, ensure balanced use of the water resource and protect the balance of water and hydrogeological balance. The Water Protection Plan identifies the methods for determining and applying the corrective factors of the DMV on the basis of the criteria identified by the District Basin Authorities. The values of the morphological parameter (M) express the ability of the riverbed to maintain the minimum flow rates in conditions compatible with the environmental quality objectives of the waters. For the area under the jurisdiction of the Magra River Basin Authority, please refer to the excerpt plan for the protection of watercourses affected by derivations approved with DCR no. 15/2001
