Cadastre of natural cavities - Polygonal natural cavities

It represents in polygonal form the development in plan in the subsoil of the natural cavities cataloged in the Register of natural cavities of Emilia-Romagna and for which a document depicting this type of relief was available. For cavities with particularly complex development, the levels at different depths were distinguished as per the original survey.

lineage	The information layer of the "Natural - polygonal cavities" collects information on the plan extension of the main caves and underground cavities distributed throughout the territory of the Emilia-Romagna Region. The cadastral activity, of data collection and survey, was set up and managed by the "Cadastral Commission for the natural cavities of Emilia-Romagna", subsequently by the Regional Speleological Federation, which started a systematic work of data retrieval and surveys of the caves and the plan sections that represent them in depth. In a second phase, the plan surveys on paper support were digitized and geo-referenced by the Geological Survey.
