Po basin, secondary lowland network, infrequent flood hazard M-P2

Cartography that represents the delimitation of potentially floodable areas due to infrequent events, return time less than or equal to 200 years, as required by EU Dir. 2007/60/EC art. 6, relating to the area of the artificial hydrographic network for reclamation of the Unit of Management UoM (ITN008) over which the Po Basin Authority is competent. The map does not take into account the possibility that possible embankment breakage phenomena may occur (risk residual) or malfunctions of the lifting systems and flood management works (locks, sluice gates, etc..).

lineage The perimeter of potentially floodable areas was carried out by the Reclamation Consortia and by the Region with the support of the territorial Basin Authorities. Due to the high extension of the network, the complexity of the system and the presence of morphologically depressed areas, the method for identifying the areas is of the prev type. historical-inventory, developed starting from data on events that occurred after 1990, surveyed by each Reclamation Consortium, and deemed more compatible with the current configuration of the network and land use. To this type of area are added limited areas identified using hydrological-hydraulic models (complete method) and areas delimited on the basis of the expert judgment of the managing bodies (cognitive method). The areas are completed with geomorphological analyzes conducted through the use of the DTM Lidar (MATTM, 2008, resolution 1 point/m2), with the aim of identifying areas with drainage and difficult drainage.
