Po basin, secondary hilly mountain network, infrequent flood hazard M-P2

Cartography that represents the delimitation of potentially floodable areas due to infrequent events, return time less than or equal to 200 years, as required by EU Dir. 2007/60/EC art. 6, relating to the secondary hilly mountain network of the Unit of Management UoM (ITN008), over which the Po Basin Authority is competent, determined on the basis of hydrological-hydraulic modeling and geomorphological methods. The map does not take into account the possibility of embankment breakage phenomena (residual risk).

lineage	Flood hazard map with ref. natural water courses derives primarily from the data contained in the P.A.I. in force (approved by the Basin Authority-UoM) and in in-depth studies specific documents to support the planning of basin or in implementation of the same (Provincial Territorial Coordination Plans, P.T.C.P.). It constitutes a translation of the P.A.I. and the P.T.C.P. which have the value and effect of the PAI pursuant to the agreements stipulated, in the languages and in the representation cartography required by Directive 2007/60/EC and by Decr. nat. implementation (Legislative Decree 49/2010), in order to make available a series of codified information relating to the hazard, according to common, accessible and recognizable formats and schemes. The dataset has a level of accuracy conditioned by the ways in which it was derived, and by the intrinsic uncertainty of the starting data. For the elaboration, work was carried out aimed at homogenizing, enhancing, updating and integrating the data of the Plan.
