Areas of protection and promotion of wine in the province of Massa-Carrara

The cartographic archive of the areas of protection and promotion of wine in the province of Massa-Carrara identifies the territorial portions suited to the production of wines with controlled denomination of origin (DOC) and typical geographical indication (IGT). In particular, the potential areas of production of the grapes for obtaining the DOC Candia Colli Apuani, DOC Colli di Luni and IGT Val di Magra wines were determined, according to what is indicated by the Production Regulations. The intent is to provide the territorial communities interested in the enhancement and protection of quality wines with a tool for territorial governance, through the correct management of information.
