Current ozone concentration in the Netherlands

This map shows the calculated average concentration of ozone over the past hour. This information is updated every hour. Ozone is a gas that arises from a reaction between all kinds of air pollutants under the influence of sunlight. As a result, elevated ozone levels actually only occur in spring and summer, because in the other seasons the solar influence is too small to allow ozone to be formed. The values ​​you see are based on calculations. The calculations are calibrated on the basis of measurements. The calculation method used is the RIO model for hourly background concentrations.
