Military low-flying routes (Environmental Vision 2016-2020)

This file contains military low-flying routes as established in the Environmental Vision for the Province of Groningen 2016-2020. Above Westerwolde and the far west of our province there are military low-flying routes for fighter aircraft and transport aircraft. There is a minimum flight height of 75 meters. For reasons of safety, it is not allowed to build higher than 40 meters under these low-flying routes. It concerns a strip of 1 nautical mile (1852 metres) on both sides of the centerline of the route. Municipalities must take this into account when drawing up zoning plans.
