Protection area National Landscape South Limburg

The policy within the National Landscape is aimed at strengthening the city-country relations and within the so-called conservation area to preserve, manage, develop and experience the landscape's core qualities and to work on the basis of 10 core values ​​from POL2014. The National Landscape is located within the (Euroregional) metropolis of Liège-Eupen-Aachen-Parkstad-Sittard-Genk-Hasselt-Maastricht as part of the cross-border Drielandenpark. It is a run-off area of ​​the cities whose “quality of life” is important for the living and business climate in South Limburg. The area has a high density of cultural-historical heritage, including many monuments. The unique landscape makes an important contribution to the business climate and the quality of life in the region.
