Immission Traffic Forecast 2020 Elemental Carbon (soot)

Soot is one of the fractions of particulate matter. There is a clear relationship between soot and health damage. No official limit or test value has yet been established for EC. The data were calculated nationally using the reporting tool. The concentration at 10 meters from the edge of the road is indicated for each road section. The air quality is presented in five concentration classes. The air quality is calculated, among other things, on the basis of traffic counts and calculation models based on the data for the year 2017. Any other sources are incorporated in the background concentration. However, the main source of soot is traffic. The values ​​calculated with the model have an inaccuracy of 20-25 percent.
