Sound- Quiet areas location signs

The location of sanctuary signs around sanctuary areas in the province of Gelderland. Since 1992, a sanctuary is a conservation area referred to in, among other things, Article 4.9 of the Environmental Management Act, which has been designated as such by or pursuant to the Regional Plan and is further indicated on the map appendix to the Gelderland Quiet Areas Ordinance. The policy in these areas has a preventive character: the development of new activities that cause (potential) noise nuisance is primarily counteracted through the instrument of spatial planning (regional plan elaboration).
