Health card GES Air traffic noise permit 2014

This file contains data on exposure to noise from air traffic at the airports in North Brabant and its translation into health risks, the so-called GES scores. Calculated noise contours Lden and Ke zones have been translated into GES scores in accordance with the 2012 City & Environment Health Impact Screening Handbook. The licensed 35 Ke and 45 Ke contours of military airfields Eindhoven, Gilze-rijen, Volkel and Woensdrecht have been translated into resp. GES 6 (unsatisfactory) and GES 7 (more than insufficient). The Lden contours from the airport decrees of the small civilian airports Budel and Seppe have been translated into GES scores as follows: 48-56 dB = GES 4 (moderate); 56-70 dB = GES 6 (insufficient); >70 dB = GES 7 (more than insufficient). The noise impact has been calculated for individual airports. The combined noise load with other noise sources (road traffic, rail traffic and industry) has not been determined. In reality, when multiple noise sources are combined, the noise impact and thus the health effect can be higher.
