Middag-Humsterland National Landscape (Environmental Vision 2016-2020)

This file contains the Middag-Humsterland National Landscape as established in the Environmental Vision for the Province of Groningen 2016-2020. Middag-Humsterland National Landscape is an old open wierden landscape with high scenic and archaeological value. We see opportunities for positioning Middag-Humsterland as part of the northern Wadden region, as an example area where many landscape and cultural-historical values have been preserved. In this area we protect the open landscape, the irregular block allotment, characteristic depressions, the relief of wierden, dikes and natural depressions and the course and profile of the roads. We have included rules for this in the Environmental Ordinance.
