Unaccompanied foreign minor; nationality, sex and age

This table contains data on unaccompanied foreign minors. The figures are broken down by sex, age and nationality. If an unaccompanied foreign minor needs protection, then he or she is eligible for an asylum permit. If protection is not necessary, then the unaccompanied foreign minor must return to the country of origin. This is only possible if the unaccompanied foreign minor can be safely housed in the country of origin, for example with relatives or in a shelter. Unaccompanied foreign minors younger than 15 years who cannot return to the country of origin, can under specific conditions obtain a 'no-blame' permit.
