Natural pest regulation of sensitive crops (Natural capital)

The potential natural pest control based on the overlap between agricultural plots and other landscape elements. Various pest-sensitive crops are grown on the agricultural plots: potatoes, beets, grains and fruit. By calculating the overlap of the “pest regulating zones” in the agricultural plots and the landscape elements, four categories are created: red, pink, light green and dark green. They increasingly indicate the potential natural pest control. These data are used in the “Functional agrobiodiversity” map. This map is part of the research into natural capital in Overijssel.
