Soil subsidence if scenario continues (probably before 2020)

Soil subsidence continues in scenario, presumably before 2020. Data from study Exploring Soil Subsidence NW Overijssel that Infram carried out for us and the Drents Overijsselse Delta Water Board in the period 2017 – 2019. In the peat meadow area of Overijssel, the soil is subsiding. This subsidence is mainly due to peat oxidation, which has various significant effects on (the use of) the area.
