Defense devices

Accidents involving hazardous substances involve a major accident on a company site. A substance is a hazardous substance when it is toxic, flammable or explosive, or has a combination of these properties. The risk map shows barracks, ammunition depots, shooting and training areas and military airfields. The risk map only shows those defense installations where restrictions apply to the use of space outside the fence. These restrictions apply within certain safety zones: for example, no houses may be built or roads constructed within them. Three zones (A, B and C) have been established around each site; the closer the military area, the stricter the rules.
