Gold-green nature zone, silver-green nature zone, bronze-green landscape zone

Gold-green nature zone: The gold-green nature zone forms the Limburg part of the National Nature Network. Within the golden-green zone, the province strives for the conservation and management of the existing nature, and the development of new nature. Silver-green nature zone: Within the silver-green nature zone, exploiting opportunities for nature and landscape is central. However, the silver-green nature zone is not part of the National Nature Network, but it does support the functionality and effectiveness of the gold-green nature zone. The province stimulates the development of nature and landscape within the silver-green zones with subsidies and nature compensation. Bronze-green landscape zone: the bronze-green landscape zone comprises the scenically valuable brook valleys and buffer zones around existing nature areas with the (more extensive) agricultural areas, monuments, smaller landscape elements, watercourses, etc. In South Limburg, these zones also include the steeper slopes, dry valleys and the main scenic connections to the Maas valley. The policy within the bronze-green landscape zone is aimed at preserving, managing, developing and experiencing the landscape's core qualities. This zone consists mainly of agricultural land. Within this zone there are other destinations and functions at zoning plan level, such as infrastructure, housing and tourist facilities, etc.
