Average household wealth, 1993-2000

This publication shows the average wealth of households. Households are distinguished per 25% group of disposable household incomes according to characteristics such as household composition, main source of income, age of the main breadwinner, 10% group of assets and province. The results relate to all private households in the Netherlands. Persons staying in homes or institutions have not been taken into account. The results are based on data from the Income Panel Survey (IPO). The IPO consists of a sample of approximately 75,000 households with over 200,000 people. Data is collected from these households every year. The asset data mainly comes from the administration of the tax authorities. In general, as with all sample surveys, outcomes may deviate from the true but unknown values ​​of the population variables under investigation.
