All trees managed by the Municipality of Eindhoven are part of this data collection. The administrative data that is displayed when you click on an object provides more information about the status (indicative), tree species, size of the tree, etc. In the administrative data of the tree, among other things, the "status indicative" can be find. This indicative status is determined on the basis of the most up-to-date data, but the status of a tree can change due to circumstances. Checking the status of a tree is therefore always necessary. The tree status stems from the trees regulation (2021) of the Municipality of Eindhoven. In accordance with the trees regulation, the following statuses appear in this data collection: Basic tree The label 'basic' applies to all trees that are not private, nor valuable or monumental. These are therefore all “other” trees in public space (owned by the municipality of Eindhoven) or private land. Only the basic municipal trees are included in the database and accompanying map. We therefore call a tree a 'basic tree' if this tree does not fall under one of the categories below, but is owned by the municipality of Eindhoven. 'Basic trees' in forests are not included. Valuable tree This is a municipal tree that meets at least the following requirements: - The tree is at least 50 years old; - The tree must not be in an irreparable condition (complete decay of the tree must not be expected within 10 years). All trees within the municipal green structure are also valuable, regardless of their age, size, etc. The tree then provides at least an important added value for: Nature, Landscape, Cultural history, urban and village beauty, quality of life, water storage, heat stress, production, the intrinsic values of a tree. Monumental tree Monumental trees are municipally or privately owned trees that meet the following requirements: - The tree is at least 80 years old, whereby an exception can be made for a tree with a high dendrological value and/or a rare tree or a memorial tree); - The tree may not be in an irreparable condition (complete decay of the tree may not be expected within 10 years; - Memorial trees are also monumental trees, regardless of their size, age, etc.; The tree provides at least an important added value for: Nature, landscape, cultural history, urban and village beauty, quality of life, water storage, heat stress, production, the intrinsic values of a tree Oak processionary caterpillar There are a number of attributes for oak that are marked with the term "EPR" (EPR\ _Present, EPR_CONTROL METHOD, EPR_STADIUM, etc.) These attributes relate to the detection and subsequent control of the oak processionary caterpillar.
