Topographic Military Map 1850, net drawings

The field minutes for the Topographical Military Map (TMK) were made between 1836 and 1856 by officers of the Bureau of Military Explorations with the aim of producing a topographical map for the whole of the Netherlands for the first time. The result of the explorations has been elaborated in color in a series of network drawings. These net drawings form the link between the fieldwork, the field minutes, and the TMK's stone-engraved map sheets. These are issued in black and white. The net drawings are the only colored version that is available nationwide. The network drawings were scanned by Alterra's Geo-Information Center and georeferenced in the RD system. The end result is an image file of a net drawing in geotiff format.
