Environmental vision - Cold-heat storage (KWO) free zone

The file contains areas where cold - heat storage systems are not allowed. The application of these systems entails risks for drinking water extraction. Warming of the groundwater can lead to changes in, for example, the chemical quality, the direction of flow of groundwater for drinking water preparation can be adversely affected and calamities can occur when using liquids in closed systems. Drilling into the soil can also pose a threat. These systems are therefore not permitted. The update plan was adopted by the Provincial Council on 19 December 2018.
