Unemployed labor; duration of unemployment and personal characteristics 2003-2018

This table shows the unemployment duration of the unemployed aged 15 to 75. A distinction is made between unemployed people who; - 0 to 6 months, - 6 to 12 months, - 12 to 24 months, - 24 months or more unemployed. This makes it possible to determine the number of short-term and long-term unemployed. The short-term unemployed are unemployed for 0 to 12 months and the long-term unemployed are unemployed for 12 months or more. The figures in the table can be broken down by gender, age, origin and level of education. Unemployment duration refers to the number of months that a person is unemployed. This is determined on the basis of: - the time of looking for work and - the time of termination of the last job. The figures in the table are based on the Labor Force Survey (EBB). Data available from 2003 to 2018 Changes as of January 23, 2020 None, this table will be discontinued mid-January 2020. When will new numbers come out? Not applicable anymore.
