Church affiliation and church attendance; from 1849; 18 years or older

The table "Church denomination; history" provides a historical overview of the changes in the percentage of people in the Netherlands aged 18 and over who consider themselves to belong to a certain denomination. The following categories of religious denomination are distinguished: no religious denomination, Roman Catholic, Protestant Church in the Netherlands (since 2004), Dutch Reformed, Reformed and other denominational denominations. It also shows the percentage of people over the age of 18 who regularly go to church or another religious gathering.
