The project Priority Layers of National Interest (DBPrior10k), was implemented within the framework of the State-Regions-Local Authorities Agreement on Geographic Information Systems (IntesaGIS) starting from September 2003, and was delivered by the Interregional Centre, which carried out the supervision of the works, to the Client Authorities (Basilicata Region, Ministry of the Environment) in June 2005. In December 2006, the RSDE on behalf of the IntesaGIS CTC completed the publication of the DBPRIOR10K on www.IntesaGIS and preliminary homogenization of the graph of the viability. The activities carried out in 2007 by the Interregional Center led to the integration of the data that was still missing in order to complete the entire national coverage. The information layers relating to railway infrastructures are made up of linear and punctual elements. The punctual elements identify the intersections of the linear elements, and are coded in order to describe the type of intersection they represent.
