Pedestrian frequentation of Paris streets (shp)
Estimated hourly pedestrian frequentation and densities of Paris streets, in June 2022, at peak hours, on weekdays. These estimations were produced by Hove for the City of Paris. They are based on GNSS data collected by smartphone applications, redressed with socio-demographic data and processed to quantify foot trips along Paris streets (using OpenStreetMap routes). Pedestrian densities are calculated for each street segment, by taking into account the median width of sideways. The data also contains indexes, from 1 to 10, meant to classify streets in terms of frequentation and density.
