The WFS shows the site properties for forest sites in NRW on a scale of 1 : 5,000. The overall water balance and the natural nutrient supply of the locations are shown. Derived from the overall water balance, the drought sensitivity of the forest locations is shown. In further layers, the site properties are aggregated into site types according to the NRW silviculture concept and the site suitability of 16 important forest tree species according to the criteria of the NRW silviculture concept. The information page of the WMS shows the properties for each area and offers links to the information of the NRW forestry concept. It is an evaluation of the soil map of NRW 1 : 5,000 in connection with climate data from the climate atlas of NRW (1981-2010, LANUV NRW, DWD) and relief data (DGM10, Geobasis NRW). All soil areas are shown for which a digital soil map for forest site investigation - BK5 F - is available at the time of provision.
