The WMS, which is based on raster data, evaluates the natural risk of soil erosion. Methodologically, the evaluation of the "natural erosion hazard" corresponds to DIN 19708:2017-07. Specially prepared data from the soil assessment are used to derive the erodibility of the topsoil (K-factor). Where these are not available, agricultural site survey data is used. If neither database is available, the BK50 is used. The digital terrain model 10 from Geobasis NRW is used to derive the slope gradient factor (S-factor). The regression equation published in DIN is used to derive the rain erosivity (R-factor). Input data are monthly precipitation data from the NRW climate atlas. The data are linked and evaluated according to DIN.
