WMS map service of the marine protected areas in Germany. The harmonized data sets of the protected areas are brought together once a year by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation from the data sets of the federal states and the federal government. The area boundaries are, if necessary, adjusted to the course of the federal state boundaries of the database administrative boundaries 1: 25,000 (VG 25, BKG). In the service of the marine protected areas, only the protected areas that have a marine area are shown as an extract from these overall data sets. Status of the data: FFH areas (2019), bird protection areas (2019), national parks (2023), nature protection areas (2021), biosphere reserves (2023), nature parks (2023), landscape protection areas (2021).
