WMTS NW Digitale Orthophotos

Orthophotos are high-resolution, distortion-free, true-to-scale images of the earth's surface. They are produced from aerial photographs, which are available as vertical photographs, using photogrammetric methods with knowledge of the orientation parameters and with the addition of a digital elevation model. Digital orthophotos are georeferenced, are available across the board and are renewed in a 2-year cycle. They are produced according to the state's product standard, which is based on the specifications of an AdV standard (AdV working group of state surveying authorities) and have a ground resolution of 10cm/pixel. These are 4-channel multispectral images with the channel assignment RGBI (red-green-blue-near infrared). With the 2018 image flight, the processing of the DOP as a true orthophoto was introduced with the same geometric and radiometric qualities as before. The changeover to the new product quality will be completed with the processing of the 2020 aerial photograph in mid-2021.
