Groundwater Protection Area (Environmental Ordinance 2016)

This file contains groundwater protection areas as established in the Environmental Ordinance Province of Groningen 2016. We have included rules for this in this Environmental Ordinance. Groundwater protection areas are located around the drinking water abstractions (Onnen-De Punt, Sellingen, Bellingwolde). Activities that can deteriorate the quality of the groundwater are prohibited here. This also applies to the area and the banks along the Drentsche Aa around and upstream of the intake point (just across the border in the province of Drenthe) of the drinking water abstraction in the Drentsche Aa.
