Lauwersmeer National Park (Environmental Vision 2016-2020)

This file contains the Lauwersmeer National Park as established in the Environmental Vision for the Province of Groningen 2016-2020. The Lauwersmeer National Park is the only National Park in our province. It is also a Natura 2000 area. The government is expected to finalize the Lauwersmeer Natura 2000 management plan in 2016. After that, the provinces of Fryslân and Groningen will take over the implementation. We want to strengthen the recreational opportunities of the Lauwersmeer. There is an implementation program for this. We work together with our area partners to improve the experience of the National Park for hikers, cyclists, bird watchers, fishermen and water sports enthusiasts.
