Cohesive landscape structure 7 subareas (Environmental Vision 2016-2020)

This file contains the coherent landscape structure of seven sub-areas as established in the Environmental Vision for the Province of Groningen 2016-2020. The cohesive landscape structure consists of related landscape elements and characteristics and thus transcends the level of separate elements. We distinguish seven sub-areas in our province. • Wierdenland and Wadden area • Oldambt • Southern Westerkwartier • Westerwolde • Peat colonies • Gorecht • Central Wold area and Duurswold. In the elaboration per sub-area, we indicate how the landscape structure can be respected and strengthened in new spatial developments. The seven sub-areas each have their own qualities and characteristics, but at the same time form a coherent whole.
