Leveldecisions

This map shows water level decisions. In a number of very water-rich areas, it makes sense to provide people with certainty about the water level. This determines, among other things, the habitability and workability of the land. For those areas, the province indicates by regulation that the water board must adopt a water level ordinance. Subsequently, the water board adopts one or more water level ordinances, geared to the Desired Land Regime and Surface Water Regime (GGOR). It specifies which water level or bandwidth of water levels in the area must be maintained as much as possible. The water board is free to adopt water level decisions over a wider area than indicated in the provincial ordinance.
