Change in historical line elements (Monitor Landscape)

The Historical Line Elements indicator is intended to analyze the presence of historical linear elements in the Dutch cultural landscape over the years. When you zoom in, you can also observe – the disappearance of – historical line elements on a local scale in your own environment. The indicator is part of the Landscape Monitor. The monitor shows the changes in our landscape on the basis of six indicators. These are: buildings, land use, openness, ascending greenery, historical linear elements and relief. The Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands, Kadaster, LandschappenNL and Wageningen University & Research developed the Landscape Monitor on behalf of the Ministries of BZK (Interior Affairs), OCW (Education, Culture and Science) and LNV (Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality).
