Signaling map Stock of Drinking and Groundwater

This map shows where drinking water is produced and which protection categories apply to surrounding areas. At the same time, it is visible on a large scale where fresh groundwater is present to what depth. It is expected that due to the predicted climate change and future sea level rise, groundwater salinization will increase and the availability of fresh groundwater and surface water will decrease. For example, there is the risk that agricultural land and nature reserves will be irreparably damaged. The source holder of the map is Deltares (DANK008a).
