Building on soft soil - Thick Holocene package

This dataset concerns the depth of the Pleistocene package (on which foundations can be made) relative to the ground level in metres. This dataset, together with three other datasets (reliability of TNO maps, sensitivity to settlement (soft soil) and eructation of sheet piles), forms the information to determine the suitability of the subsurface for building on soft soil and underground construction and is part of the research report "Suitability maps of the subsoil for building in North Holland". All available boreholes in the TNO DINO database, as well as maps of soil and geological structures, were used to prepare the file.
