Environmental vision - Green development zone

The province wants to enable the development of combinations of functions of nature with other functions if they substantially contribute to strengthening the ecological cohesion of the nature of the Gelders Natuurnetwerk (GNN) and of the landscape and cultural-historical qualities present. The Green Development Zone (GO) consists of areas with a destination other than nature that are spatially intertwined with the Gelders Nature Network. It mainly concerns agricultural land, but also areas for residential and day recreation, infrastructure, homes and businesses. part of the Green Development Zone. These are not in the Gelders Nature Network. The update plan was adopted by the Provincial Council on 19 December 2018.
